Global Communications Interface (GCI) is a reflective memory product thatinterconnects up to 25 VME and/or PC/AT computers over a multidrop,token-passing network. Each GCI provides either 1 MB or 4 MB RAM, whichis mapped into the VME 32-bit address space or ISA 24-bit address space.GCI delivers global and point-to-point interrupt generation. Duringsystem initialization, GCI allows for write-through access on all VMEnodes to all peripherals on that node. GCI communicates at 2.2 MB persecond.
